Fishing tour

Discover the local way of life and immerse yourself in the local fishing culture of the Dominican Republic. Learn local fishing techniques, ride in the traditional wooden boats found in the Caribbean and hang out with a local fishing guide. Your tour begins in Playa El Valle where you will meet your captain for the day and you will board our 22" foot craft and motor out 30 to 45 minutes to our fishing grounds. On the way to the reef enjoy the beautiful blue Caribbean waters, take a few photos and soak in the beauty of the Dominican Republic. Spend the rest of the trip learning the traditional DR method of fishing with Yo Yo reels. You may even get to try your skill catching bait using our cast net.  

This tour is considered a half day tour, but you will have at least 4 hours for fishing since we do not count travel time to and from the reef. The tour leaves at 8:30 am and you will return to the beach at approximately 1:30 pm, just in time to have the captain filet up your catch and have  it for lunch. The captain will be happy to suggest local restaurants that will cook your catch for you. The fishing is fantastic in the Dominican Republic and many of our guests have caught barracuda, red snapper, tuna, sea bream and even a few grouper! We welcome all levels of fishing experience, from expert to novice. Come hang out with the locals - kick back, enjoy a local brew, eat a delicious lunch and catch some fish the Dominican way!
